Rushed. I hate this.

Well, I'm being a good Kittyhawk and working on SGVY. Already got the pencils done and I'll work on the inks and colors tomorrow. Rejoice!

In the meantime, here's a scan of a picture I did of my Tarutaru chara from FFXI. The thing with me in the upper left is a happy Mandragora (happy?), and I have no idea what the thing in the lower right is. I think it's a gremlin.

Oh, and here's something I found funny in my pantry when I was eating oats just a few minutes ago. "Blows 56K Away!" "Blows," I tells ya, "blows."

Off to sleep.

I think I'm building a fort...

So as I come out of a stupor from playing FFXI for a couple of hours, I just remembered that I haven't posted in a while. The fact is that Real Life has claimed most of my time, and I haven't had time to work on SGVY, much less play FFXI. I finally got to play some this week, by the way. Yay. Real Life sucks.

So for the lack of comic, I give you some screenshots of me running around the Windurst Area. Enjoy!

Me looking all newbish.
Hanging out on the plains. Like my hat?
Tom_Swan's dream.
Looking spiffy.
I want...

Gonna keep calm...

Ever have one of those days where you're just slow? I'm having one. My brain refuses to think faster than a 286 trying to run Win98: slow as hell. So, I've decided to shirk my responsibilities and proceed to put a hot pad on my head to stave off the migraine that I know is on the way. I usually get them when I think this slow.

In Tales of Retail Horror, I was standing at work today, listening to the XBox play ska and punk music (the Assistant Manager put in a custom soundtrack for Tony Hawk Underground. Good taste, actually; there was some Pain in there). As the clock turned 2:00pm, my ears suddenly focused on the Mall Muzak, as if there was danger coming. Sure enough, the easy-listening jazz stopped. There was a brief silence. For a minute I thought that there was a speaker problem, or perhaps they were testing it so they could play the radio for the "Big Game" on Saturday. No, no it wasn't something so innocent. There was a crackle, and then it happened:

The Christmas music started.

And then I knew it was official. Christmas™ has started.

Nevermind that they put the damn decorations up two weeks ago. That's not the moment Christmas™ (with the ™ to denote that it's the retail version) starts. The annoying customers, who only come once a year and when you ask what computer that their child or spouse has in order to find out if they can play a game or not, they answer "It's a Dell!", don't show up till the music starts, and the music has started. Yargh.

Don't get me wrong; I love Christmas. I just don't like Christmas™. It's hectic and draining. Sure, the money's good, but you feel like a husk afterwards.

I plan on spending the real Christmas drinking spiced punch and eating some kind of bird while playing video games. Sounds fun. May need to get an XBox to simulate the fire.

Ah, but Christmas is a month away. No sense in getting myself all hyped up about it now. We still have Thanksgiving. Mmm... stuffing.

I'm going to sleep now. Y'all have fun.

Need to eat stuffing...

Wheehoo! New comic! Consume!

So I'm playing a lot of FFXI, and man, is it great. I love this game. Tom_Swan and I are currently White Mages, though he's about to switch to Black Mage. I'm just happy being the White Mage till I can make it to Lvl. 30 so I can be a Bard. If you haven't played yet, and you're looking for an MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI is where it's at.

Hey, you like comics, right? Go read Wigu. I love this comic. ^_^

Is it me, or do the Mandragoras sound like GIR?

Working on SGVY now.

Damn rarabs.

Well, I would have had SGVY up last night, but Tom_Swan came into town much earlier than expected, which is extremely cool. I'm not complaining. He brought me my new computer so I can finally play FFXI. My new computer is Yuzuki, named after the persocom from Chobits. It looks like an XBox or something inspired by one. Harry Lime, Tom and I joked that it's an XBox REAL because it's a PC that does not suck and has a good controller, aka MS Sidewinder.

XBox REAL refers to this joke that my co-workers and I at the game store came up with after we heard comments on the XBox from customers, "Dude man, looks real. Real like a real XBox." Sadly enough, I've actually heard a similar statement, "That looks real like XBox," from people in the "wild."

Anyway, Tom_Swan, Harry Lime, Crutcher, T, and I went and saw The Matrix: Revolutions last night. I'll say this: closure. I was very disappointed with the second movie, but this was a bit better. The CG was certainly better, and I was quite happy with the return of the beautiful wire-work. The Mechs were cool, but as Tom_Swan pointed out, if they have mechs, why the hell don't they have shields to protect the pilots? Also brought up: If these people have all this tech, why do they wear such tattered clothing? My answer: Like good nerds, why should they care about their clothing? Clothing is so that norms don't get uppity. That's what I think.

Overall, I think the Matrix was OK. A plain OK. The first movie was pretty good, but it feels like the second and third movie are sort of addendum rather than part of a trilogy. Kudos to the Bros for the explanation for the Oracle's change in appearance. God bless the first Oracle actress; she was awesome. Ah well.

Yuzuki is almost up. I better go check on the status. 'Night!

Chii is reserved for later.

Forgot to put this up. Here's the colored version by Sheela Caur'Lir of the Halloween picture. Thanks, Sheela! ^_^

So, back to the White Room. I feel so tired. I think it may be this place. Bwaa.

Working on SGVY. Hoping to have it done soon. Glad y'all liked the Halloween pic.

I haven't been able to play FFXI yet due to no computer able to play it. I should have this remedied by this weekend.

I'm working now. 'Night.

Rice causes sleepiness?
