So, I was in a wreck today. Happened about noon. Harry Lime was driving me to work, and we were turning left onto the main drag, when suddenly this woman ran the red light and slammed into the driver's side of Harry's car's front end. The car's hood is now fused, and the car's front tilts to the right now. Oh, and there's no radiator. So after doing all the report stuff and learning that the woman was visiting her fiance, who is blind by the way so could not pick her up, my neck began to hurt. Especially since I slammed my throat into the seatbelt during the crash. Off to the hospital!

Crutcher, with Plink and T in tow, drove Harry and I to the local hospital, where I was checked in and spent a long time waiting. They x-rayed my neck, made me lay on a stretcher with towels on the side of my head while it was strapped down (which by the way, I have this strange bony bump on the back of my head that hurts when I lay on it, and well, I was laying on it for two damned hours), and almost getting a cat scan, but then they realized I wasn't that patient. Finally, after five hours, I left the hospital with painkillers in hand.

Tonight I think I'll lay on the couch and relax. Sorry about this. ^_^;; I'll work on SGVY tomorrow if I'm better.

At least we're OK. ^_^;;

Time slow down.

You know, I had something to say, but I can't remember it. That's what I get for writing dialogue for the past two hours. Hee hee... "Just like a tack..." One of my finer lines.

Cons, cons, cons! I'm going to Trinoc*coN this year in Durham, NC, July 23-25!! Y'all should go! I'm going to be a Dragon*Con again this year too, so go there too! Let's start getting ready!

What?! Four months flies when you're not paying attention.

Time to play some Final Fantasy, on Gamecube and Wonderswan Color!!

Apparently Del Rey has reversed it's decision to edit Negima! and just shrink-wrap it with a 16+ warning label attached. I'm really happy to hear this. Thank you, Del Rey, for doing the right thing and giving us the original print.

Thank you as well to all of you who wrote me about this. I'm glad to hear there are people out there who share my views on manga and anime being presented in it's original form.

Go work on SGVY.

Go read this wonderful piece of news.

OK, I'm really pissed off about this. I hate edits. I really do. Especially when it's this kind of editing: the kind where a company buys the rights to something, totally not understanding who they're selling it to, and proceeds to butcher it because they're trying to sell it to another demographic, and ultimately, can never have. Remember Tenchi Muyo on Cartoon Network? Or Cardcaptors?! Yeah...

So here's the deal: I'm asking that all of you don't buy any of Del Rey's new manga releases unless they reverse their decision on censoring Negima!. I've already written them a letter asking for them to reconsider their decision, otherwise I cancel my reservations for Negima!, Tsubasa, and xxxHolic. While Tsubasa and xxxHolic will be unedited, I cannot buy from a publisher which does not understand what they are selling. I ask that you do the same.

It may be just ten panels where they added panties and towels, but a cut is a cut. If Del Rey wants to get into the manga business, they need to learn who their audience is and realize they can't edit their way into the mainstream.

Hi hi! How's it going in the world? I wouldn't know, 'cause I've been in my house a lot lately. ^_^;;

Harry Lime and I celebrated our anniversary last weekend. It was a lot of fun. Valentine's Day was nice too. I had to work, but it was hillarious watching men carrying 20 balloons with a gigantic teddy bear and a dozen roses! And then I got to see the recipients as they paraded their "booty" around the mall. One woman looked like the only reason she wasn't floating away due to the sheer amount of balloons was the enormous, and heavy, white bear that she was dragging around. Oh, and she had her roses in her mouth. I really don't understand this contest between women on Valentine's Day. I mean, the flowers wilt, the balloons deflate, and that bear is trash compacter-fodder in a couple of months. Ah well...

Worked on SGVY a bit last night. I should have one up soon.

Off to the other work!

Take the damned striped apple!!

Haven't posted in a while, have I? Well, life in Kittyhawkland is the same. I work, I sleep, work, sleep, work, play, work, eat, save the world, sleep, work, become Lord Master of All I Survey, eat, work, sleep, etc. I did manage to go back home for a while. It was nice. I don't get to get away from the town I live in often.

I've been sleeping a lot lately. I hope I'm not getting sick again. I don't think I am, but with me, I could step differently and that could mean I'm getting sick. I get sick at the drop of a hat. ^_^;;

There was something I was going to post about, but for the life of me, I can't remember. Hrn... I've been watching a lot of Rose of Versailles. I really love this series. So well researched, so dramatic! Harry Lime, I think, shakes his head a lot when I watch it. Hey! What can I say? I like historical-romantic-dramas with crossdressers!

Oh, I've also been watching Touch. I liked Short Program and am looking forward to Short Program 2, so I decided to give the anime a try. Quite nice, if you ask me. Very, very slow paced, but it's kind of refreshing. Each episode covers so much and keeps a steady pace, so if you have leave for a while in the middle of an episode, it's not hard to get back in. You just feel like you're watching a new episode.

By the way, I just finished reading the first volume of A.I. Love You, the comic that Akamatsu Ken worked on before he worked on Love Hina. It's like a mangafied Weird Science, except there's only one guy and the girl is a ditz. I didn't expect much out of this comic, especially since it was written in 1994 and he's writing about computers, but my God! Everytime he tried to explain some computer term or relate how computers work into a form he believed his readers could understand, which I think he thought were braindead, I was in utter pain. And you'd think that Saati ("Thirty" in romanji, ha ha) being as "advanced" an A.I. as she's made out to be would catch onto things faster. Maybe it has to do with the fact that her owner, Hitoshi (who is Akamatsu in another form, like in all his comics), uses floppy disks to back up her memory. If you're looking for another "boy finds magical girl to make all his wishes come true but only leads to awkward situations, pain, and suffering," A.I. Love You is the comic for you!

Off to bed now. 'Night.

Akamatsu, you write stupid things.
