Ugh... Damn you, cold. Damn you, Crutcher, for giving me this cold! Only
Nyquil® can save me...
T-Shirt sales are OK. If this run sells well, there will be another shirt. Maybe a certain god stuck in a plushie body will grace the next one? Depends on sales... Hmm, hm, hm...
And if you're thinking these are crappy shirts like a certain online T-shirt company produces, you are totally wrong. These are nice screen printed shirts and will survive several washes. They're also nice and thick, so they'll last a long time.
Enough with sales! I'm busy working on web stuff, but I should have time to work on the comic this weekend. I'm into it!
...What does that mean? I don't know. I think I'll read the
Pillow Book blog now.

You screamed for them, and now...
T-Shirts are available!
That's right, folks. You can clad yourself in the finest T-Shirt known to man, the "Valkyrie Shirt Version One." It's only twelve bucks, too!
Here's some "random" people enjoying their shirts:
And here's the bonus: If you're going to
Dragon*Con in Atlanta, you can order it now, and I will hand-deliver the shirt to you at the con and sign it! How's that for a deal?
So what are you waiting for?
Go buy a shirt!
Nice.
5:07:00 PM
Hey yeah! I'm back! After a nice rest, I'm back to normal.
Trinoc*coN 2004 was very awesome. This was the first small con I've been to, so it was a nice change. I actually got to see everyone! And find them when I wanted! Amazing!
I got to hang out with the ever kickass
Erin Lindsey again (Erin is
so tall!), and I got to meet
Jenn Dolari, who is a sweetie. Clay and Susan Griffith of
The Tick fame was there, and I was able to meet the fine people of
All Grown Up before our panel at
Dragon*Con 2004.
Jamie Robertson and
Jeff Darlington were there too. Jamie was nice enough to give me a print of his work before he left. ^_^
Being able to meet so many of you was really cool, and I thank everyone who came down to Durham. Big thanks to all who bought a print or
T-Shirt. Huge thanks goes out to Deborah, Molly, Mike Moon, and David for their help.
I'll definitely be going back to Trinoc next year. You can count on it. ^_^
Good time.

I'm back from Trinoc*coN! It was a blast. I had so much fun meeting so many people and doing so many panels. I'm really tired now, though. I'll post more later! ^_^

Guess what y'all? Well...
Trinoc*coN is this weekend!!
Are you going to be there? You should because...
T-shirts will be on sale!!
That's right! T-shirts are back here at the Montrose Academy after the whole "Cafepress accused me of copyright enfringement against myself" debacle. This is the
design of the first shirt we will be offering thanks to TNT Custom Shirts of Tuscaloosa, AL. You really can't see the halftones in that image, so here's a
closeup.
The shirts will be available at
Trinoc*coN for $12 a piece. They'll be available at my artist's table. I'll sign them if you want. ^_^
I've been messing around with halftones a lot lately. Back in the days of the Jar, which was usually in b/w, I never used them. The Jar was usually done in grayscale (or really sloppy hatching for the first few). It's actually pretty cool and looks good. Harry said they look a bit like
Sam and Max, which is a huge complement.
Will I be switching SGVY to halftones?
Hell no. Halftones are a bitch. Color is so much easier. Maybe it's because I've done them for so long, but for the time being, I'll stick with what works.
In other news,
Pinky Street is awesome. Get yourself some.
Going down the road.
6:13:00 PM
Thank you very much to all who congratulated me on my engagement. I really loved getting the emails and reading the posts in the forum. Y'all are the best fans ever. ^_^
Oh, I forgot to tell you the inscription on the back of the iPod! Harry Lime had "Because I can" inscribed on it because that was what I always wanted on my iPod. Why? Because I can own an iPod. ^_^
Want to do a zombie movie?

My little Jack Russell/Lab mix, Pandora, has died in surgery. She was buried with a dog treat, her leash, and her squeaky ball. She was a great dog that was ready for anything, except crossing moving water. I hope she's happy wherever she is, bugging everyone with incessant licking and squeaking of her toy.
Good dog.

Hey hey! The birthday week was excellent. I ended selling a lot of football games on my birthday, so it was kind of stressful. Thankfully my friends were there to make it awesome. Crutcher and T got me my birthday dinner, which T fixed, of cheeseless pizza and strawberry cake. Yay! Then we watched
Mimi wo Sumaseba, my favorite movie.
However! The best thing this week was this:
Harry Lime took me to my favorite courtyard and presented me with a ringbox, which had white headphones inside. iPod headphones. He then asked me to marry him.
Of course I said yes. ^_^
So, Kittyhawk is getting married. How about that? I'm extremely happy.
A lot of people I told said it was incredibly nerdy to be presented with an iPod instead of a ring. But you know what? Rings are sparkly and cost the same amount. That's all you can say about a ring. Harry said he wanted to get me something that would be unique and I could
really show off. I'm not the type to wear rings anyway.
Oh, and by the way, I named it "Crabapple" because it's a small apple. ^_^
Book book.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program.
After two months, the story begins again. Thank you, moving! Thank you, work! Thank you, busted hand! (You're welcome, they all say.) I deeply apologize for not posting a comic for a while, and I especially apologize for been uncontactable during this time.
BUT! Now is not the time for being all mopey and such! Nay! We should celebrate. Celebrate going to
Trinoc Con 2004! That's right, folks. Trinoc Con 2004 is a scant two and a half weeks away! Are you going to be near North Carolina then? Then come on down and hang out for a weekend! Whee!
And of course,
Dragon*Con 2004 is coming this Labor Day weekend in the fine, fine city of Atlanta. You do want come to this shindig. Skip school if you can! Do anything to spend all four days there. I'ma gonna be there for FIVE days. Woo! Goin' the gauntlet!
In other news, $5 GAMES AT CIRCUIT CITY!! You've probably already heard, but I picked up a copy of
Skies of Arcadia for GCN today. I want
REZ and
Ikaruga, but my Circuit City didn't have it. Dah...
Oh, check
this site out. Old game map desktops... Mmmmm...
Kinsei never looked so good.
Read comic! I command!
Muaaah...
