I've been getting emails about Yuuki accepting a date with a guy so readily. "How can he accept with his brain still not getting over the shock of being female?" "I wouldn't have accepted so fast! I'd still be attracted to girls." "Do you know how to write?"

I could use the answer that Harry Lime wanted me to use ("It's just a show, you should really just relax"), but rather I'll answer with my own:

I've got a plan.

Yes, don't you worry. Kittyhawk knows where this is going. I could give an excuse like, "Oh, he's too polite and couldn't refuse."

...Hey, that's a good one.

NO! No excuses! I know where this is going. I know where it's been. Hell, I could tell you what turns on this story and makes it turn into putty. Yes, I know.

Oh, before I go, Happy Valentine's Day!

Yay! New comic available for Monday. Are we on schedule now? This Kittyhawk hopes so.

Yuuki is wearing a sports bra in today's installment. I imagine he stuffed it for cosplay, but now it serves it real purpose. Also, if you're wondering, he does have other bras, but they're not very frilly. I suspect he'll be getting some soon. ^_~

The Kanazuchi house is based on the house I lived in Shimoyamaguchi in Hayama. I actually looked at some pictures of it today, and realized how much I did remember and how much I had forgotten. Apparently, my memory of the inside is really good, but my memory of the exterior is, well, lacking. I knew there was a rock garden, which I conveniently forgot for the sake of SGVY, but I was unsure of the porch. I like the wood porch better in SGVY than the simple concrete one that the Shimoyamaguchi house had.

Needless to say, it was awesome to live in. The house was on top of a mountain, so one could survey the land around it, including the beach below. We had a tatami room with shoji screens. The kitchen was small, but had pits in the floor where cool things could be stored. There was a rock garden in the backyard. The backyard was actually pretty large for a Japanese yard, so my brother and I could have fun hitting each other with the bamboo we had cut for such a purpose. It had a bathroom with a deep ofuro and a washing area. Swimming in the ofuro during the summer was a lot of fun. Yes, we were dumb gaijin, but hell, it got hot in Japan. Not as hot as the US Southeast, but hot nonetheless.

The coolest thing about the house was that on clear days, we could go into our parents' room and see Mt. Fuji. It was the best experience for a foreign child to have in Japan. When we moved out, I remember feeling sad that I would never live in another house like that one. I still remember how beautiful it was to walk outside when a passing cloud covered the mountain. There was mist all around you, and all you could see were the tops of trees.

Hope y'all like today's installment. I'm on the next. Along with all my other work... ^_^;;

Asako and lawn darts.

And the comic is done!

But it won't be published till Monday. Sorry! I'm trying to get on a Monday release schedule. Whether it will be every Monday or every other Monday, I don't know. We'll see.

I'll discuss more about the comic on Monday, so stay tuned!

What, time travelling?

So, I pre-ordered the Yotsuba& Daily Calendar from Amazon Japan back in September and have been patiently waiting to get it. In the meantime, I've been "reading" (throwing the text into Excite Japan's translator) Azuma's blog and his studio's page in order to keep up with the progress of the calendar. So when the calendar was released today, what do I receive from Amazon Japan? An email saying that my debit card's expiration date is invalid.

I sent an email asking what was up with this. They replied to my email by telling me that my bank is being a bitch. Yay! Fortunately, I've found another website that might have the calendar. I might go with them if they do. I'd rather do that than deal with my bank. Plus, the other place takes Paypal, which is better for me for obvious reasons.

So until I know how I can get my Yotsuba calendar, I guess my Yotsuba plushie I made can console me.

In happier news, I was finally able to rent Super Mario Strikers. I'll tell you how it is.

Off to work on inks!

Pencils are done! I'll work on the inks tomorrow. I would have started on them today, but I did something stupid and worked myself too hard. I hurt now. Bad Kittyhawk!

I should soon have the complete Cafe Set in ACWW. I got the Checkout Counter from Animal the other day (thanks again!). If you're playing, come check out Cafe Kittyhawk in my house. We've got hot tunes and hot coffee. Sadly, we have no sex mini-games, but there is fun to have in Montrose. Come on down!

Off to bed now. I hope to dream of Thor again. Smite them, Thor!

"First Movement: Cleaning Up"

Hey, y'all! I'm feeling a little better. My left side of my body is not paralyzed with pain anymore! Yay! Thank you to all who sent well-wishes.

I was able to sleep last night, so I think that's why I'm feeling better. I played Animal Crossing: Wild World all day in order to keep myself in bed. I've almost got my "coffee shop" theme together. Just need the checkout counter and jukebox from the cafe set.

Don't think I've forgotten about SGVY! I wrote the script for the next comic last night. I'll start working on it tomorrow. Harry Lime gave the script a thumbs up!

And from the Land of Stupidity, here's a motivational poster courtesy of His Insane Highness, Lord Tom_Swan. Stare into the void of insanity, stupidity, and pickle!

I'm off to bed. 'Night!

Puppy Bowl II!

Soooo... I haven't been able to sleep for a week and had this pain on my side as well, so I went to the doctor's office today. I'm apparently pretty sick.

"Rest and drink fluids." OK, I know that.

"Take these antibiotics." Blah blah blah.

"Oh, and if it persists after a few days, you might need to go to the hospital." ...Um, what?

So, I'm at home laying in bed. I haven't worked on SGVY at all, and it's pretty hard to do so while in bed. The laptop is hard to see when I'm lying down and having to use the tablet. Sigh. Don't that beat all. I want to work! Why now?!

Oh, here's a picture I drew of me reaching to change the channel while in the examination room. I didn't want to listen to Fox News while my head was pounding. I really should have been resting instead of sitting at Mutsu (my G4 Powerbook), but I wanted to draw this:

Terrorchu!

I'll deal with my pain!

I found this ridiculous thing from an ad on Encyclopedia Mythica: Loki in chocolate. Too bad I can't eat chocolate. ^_^;;

Glad y'all like the comic. I'm working on Yuuki for next week, but since I have something to do this weekend, it may be a little late. I'm trying for a Monday release schedule. We'll see if I can keep it up.

No chocolate Thor?
